In order to use our shopping cart, you need to have cookies enabled on your browser.
"What's a cookie ?" A cookie is information we store about you on your computer so that we know that it's you we are talking to and not someone else - that way you can see what's in your shopping basket and your favourites when you visit our website again.
"Why is it called a cookie ?" We have no idea - but if you do find out, please let us know.
"Can cookies be removed ?" You can remove cookies from your browser any time you like - your browser should have settings allowing you to do this.
How do you find what you are looking for ?
Think of a keyword that the product description is likely to contain - e.g. "cpu" for Cpus or Processors, "usb" for USB Mice and Keyboards, or "adsl" for ADSL Modems
Enter your keywords in the "search" box and press the "search" button - you should a list matching your selection.
If you need a more advanced search, try our "advanced search" by clicking on the magnifying glass icon on the top right of your browser.
How do you order ?
Choosing what to buy is easy. Besides every product item, you'll find a miniature shopping cart - clicking on the cart adds the item to the cart. If you click a second time, another item is added to the cart.
When you are ready to order, or you want to check your shopping cart, just click on the larger shopping cart on the top right of your browser. You should see the contents of your shopping cart on the screen.
You can move items from your shopping cart to your favourites section by tagging them (click the checkbox on left of any item) and then clicking on the "to favourites" button. You can also delete items and change the quantities. Don't forget to press the "update" button to register the changes. Feel free to experiment - You are not committing yourself to any purchases yet.
When you are ready to order, press the "ready to order" button on the shopping cart screen. You will now have to review your order and
then fill in your personal and credit card details.
Worried about passing your personal and credit card details on the internet? Well there's no need - you are connected to our Secure Server and any information you send us is encrypted while it's being transferred - safe as houses.
It is important that you read and understand our Terms and Conditions of Sale and our Buying Procedure, as this binds all agreements between us.
How do you use the shopping cart ?
The shopping cart icon is displayed on the top right corner of your browser. You can place items in your cart as you are browsing through the site. Please relax when using your cart - items can be removed at any time. The cart can also hold your "favourite" items - that is items you don't want to order just yet, but may want to order later
To edit your Shopping Cart or go to the Checkout, just click on the shopping cart icon.
How do you pay ?
You can pay by cheque, direct payment from your account, or by credit card.
If you send a cheque, make sure it is payable to "Ampac Ltd", and write your cheque guarantee card details, name, and address at the back of your card. We will try to ship your order out on receipt of your cheque.
We accept the following major credit cards - Visa and Mastercard - and the following debit cards - Switch, Delta, Electron.
And there's no need to worry about passing your personal and credit card details on the internet - any information you send us is encrypted while it's being transferred to us.
What are the delivery options ?
Delivery Charges include Insurance and Packaging.
Don't worry - The full delivery charge will be displayed on your shopping cart for you to check before you confirm your order - we don't believe in hidden charges.
Next working-day delivery
Sometimes, you need those products extra quick, and for that we offer our next working-day delivery service. In 99% of cases, this arrives before 1pm, so that you have your goods in time to use them the next day.
Place your order for in-stock items before 5:00pm Monday to Friday and, subject to your credit card being authorised (and barring system failure), we will ship your order on the same day for a next working-day delivery.
Deliveries can also be made on saturdays for an extra premium, please select the appropriate delivery on your electronic order form. we advise that you ensure somebody is present at the delivery address since all items are shipped by courier and a signature will be required upon delivery.
3-5 day delivery
We offer a simpler basic delivery service. products are normally shipped within 4 days.
Outside mainland UK
We will deliver to anywhere on earth, but our next working-day and 3-5 day delivery options and next day delivery options are only available for mainland uk. Deliveries to Eire, Northern Ireland, and elsewhere attract charges that depend on the final destination. For more details, please email Sales.
Please remember - All orders will require a signature upon delivery.
When do you receive the products ?
When completing your order, you have the option of selecting "next working day" or "3-5 working" day delivery. We endeavour to deliver the products in the time stated and if there is a problem we will let you know.
The delivery charge includes carriage and insurance - please remember that all deliveries have to be signed for so make sure you will be available to receive the products
All our products will show the availability - if we don't have the products in stock and are not likely to have it in the next few days then we don't show it on our price list.
What if you can't get products working ?
Most of our products have additional technical information to help you choose the right item. Some of them also have advice from our "Tekdroid" to help you through the trickier bits. If you're still in a bind, just email Technical.
If you need a software driver for a particular product, you should find it in the "technical information" screen of that item.
We have a returns policy, that is there to stop items just yo-yoing back and forth. this controls costs for us, and allows us to pass this on to you. so please make sure you read our Returns Procedure before you order or return something.
Sometimes the products damaged or faulty - it happens - use our Online Returns Form and We'll take care of it.
